Are You Considering Total Knee Replacement Surgery?
If so, you may qualify to participate in a medical research study. Tekton Research is participating in a research study of an investigational oral medication taken following total knee replacement surgery. This investigational medication is being evaluated to see if it may help prevent blood clots from forming in the legs after surgery. If you qualify, surgery will be performed at the Austin Surgical Hospital by one of four Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeons (Dr. Savage, Race, Westmoreland and Blais). In order to see if you may qualify for the study, you will need to make an appointment to visit with one of these 4 surgeons. You MUST already have insurance that will pay for the knee replacement surgery. Qualified participants will receive study-related exams and study medication at no cost and may be compensated for time and travel.
