Read more to learn about her experience with Tekton Research’s  Rheumatoid Arthritis clinical research trial.

  • How did you hear about clinical research trials?

Through Dr. Thakor and his office medical staff.

  • Did you have questions or concerns about participating in a clinical research trial? If so, what were they?

I was a little concerned about it at first. Specifically, if it was safe or not. I spoke with Dr. Thakor about my concerns and he answered my questions and ultimately, I agreed to participate for a couple of reasons. First, I [wanted] some relief from my Rheumatoid Arthritis symptoms. Second, I thought participation could ultimately help others and help to advance the field.

  • What were the benefits of participating in a clinical research trial?

Free medical care and medication, that’s a big one.  Plus getting to try the newest, latest and greatest is pretty awesome.

  • Tell us about your experience with Dr. Thakor and his staff?

Dr. Thakor is amazing.  I have been his patient for 10+ years.  He is so kind and gentle, helpful and knowledgeable. His physician assistants are the same way too. Can’t say enough positive things about his office and staff.  I recommend him to everyone.

  • Would you recommend a clinical research trial to your friends and family?

Yes, absolutely! I feel that it has been safe. I get more medical monitoring through this clinical research than I ever did before.  I feel the research team has been responsive to my questions and concerns.
