Pablo F. Mora, MD, FACE, MSc, CDCES, is Tekton’s Endocrinology Research Lead and a Principal Investigator based in McKinney, TX. A board-certified endocrinologist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, Dr. Mora brings 30+ years of endocrinology and cardiometabolic experience to his role, and has conducted 40+ clinical trials. He has served as a National Lead Investigator.
Dr. Mora earned his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Costa Rica School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine residency and critical care fellowship training at the University Hospitals in San Jose, Costa Rica, followed by fellowship training in endocrinology and metabolism at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He also earned a master’s degree in clinical sciences with a clinical research focus from UTSW Allied Health School.
His clinical and research interests include type 1 and type 2 diabetes, transitional programs for individuals with type 1 diabetes, modern insulin delivery systems, diabetes technology, obesity, and metabolic disease. His current industry roles include positions in multiple global advisory boards and speaker-bureau roles in diabetes, obesity, and more.
In 2026, Dr. Mora served as lead author of two articles in The Lancet reporting Phase 2 results for subcutaneous and oral zenagamtide. He presented research at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 2026 Scientific Sessions and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) 2026 Annual Meeting.
Dr. Mora has received several academic and professional honors, including the Daniel Foster Award for Clinical Teaching from UT Southwestern in 2006 and 2011, the Outstanding Health Professional Award from the Dallas Chapter of the American Diabetes Association in 2002, and the UT Southwestern Allied Health Sciences School’s Preceptor of the Year award in 1999.
